I launched NotMyVoice at 17.
Content featuring AI voices blew up. And people really didn't debate ethics till much later — they were just amazed it worked.
I like to think NMV sparked that wave of AI content blowing up online simply because it’s cool. Look at all the AI animal videos flooding Reels.
But the deeper I got into media x tech, the more I realized that voice encapsulates an artists' identity. And this space needs direction much more than it needs novelty.
That’s why I shut it down.
AI belongs in music. But it has to be built with purpose.
Curiosity got us here. Intent has to take it further.
